North End Bag Co. (@northendbagco) makes bags “like they used to” – sturdy, timeless and lovely. They design, construct, and cut all fabrics and leather in a 300-square-foot shop a mile from the oceanfront in Virginia Beach. Owner Aaron McLellan (pictured) dreamed of creating a business in which he designed and constructed everything in Virginia, and in the summer of 2013 he quit his job in corporate management and bought a 1921 Singer – the black cast iron kind. Now he is living his dream, making bags that will last a lifetime and look beautiful.
